I also am amazed to see LSU gain momentum from beating Notre Dame two years ago, Georgia gaining momentum by beating Hawaii last year, and Alabama this year gaining momentum from getting Utah. The system has failed. Polls within the first 3 weeks suck because you get the offseason hype machine better known as the SEC going at full tilt. I live in Florida and these people are dumb.

Comments: Just finished watching Michigan beat Florida and happy for their victory. Sad to see Lloyd Carr leave. I too, graduated from Riverview High School but only a few years after Carr. He was a legend then as he was all I heard about in high school football. Later, I attended Northern Michigan Univ in '67-'68. He was the quarterback at NMU and I loved watching his games. Never met Lloyd, but always felt some kind of connection. Now that era is over and I just want to wish Coach Carr the best in the future and will miss his coaching such a fine football instituion. Pete Carroll totally outcoached Lloyd "Christmas" Carr (from the character in dumb and dumber) so predictable, so unable to adjust, that's what is marking Michigan football...they need younger and more up to date coaching from the modern era - doesn't mean you can't maintain the high standars of student athletes Mich has always done, but for gosh sakes, get rid of the "3 yards and a cloud of dust" mentality - I hate seen Mich come out here and lose, for the most part, all the time - except for '98, they haven't won a Rose Bowl since...

Comments: I am just a dumb coonass from Louisiana but always pull for Michigan because of the rough schedule it plays. After watching the 07 Rose bowl, I am embarrased for blowing off my mouth how I was going to watch UM kick USC's asses. They need to fire the whole goddamn coaching staff. What a waste of talent. If your QB keeps getting sacked on dropbacks, rollout, try a trick play, go wide, halfback pass, something. It was really sad watching these players getting their asses kicked by the overrated (and hated & show-off) Trojans and then trying to catch up some respectability late in the game when it was all coaching (lack of) It was a f%$%ing shame and I feel sorry for the players who had no leadership during the whole game. They lost to Ohio St. for the same lack of leadership, run the whole f%$%ing dynosaur bunch off and get some dynamic, thinking coaches who don't rely on the players' talent to win big games, because Michigan always has talented athletes. What a wa! ste! Getting out coached by Pete Carroll, this sucks hard.

Comments: Navarre neads to go. He's what, 6'6", and can't throw a pass over linemen? Bryan Greise wasn't that tall, and he didn't get passes knocked down consistantly. Hopefully Gutierez can step up, seeing as how a 6'6" QB can't step up, or get ANYTHING up. Also, Carr needs to have a good running back like Thomas, Biakabituka (don't know how to spell THAT good) or Wheatly to run consistantly. Askew just can't cut it.

Comments: I am a big Michigan fan and I live in tennessee. That bowl game was the worse game I have ever seen besides that loss to the Buckeyes. Its one thing to lose to either Michigan st. or Ohio St. but to lose to all three in one season and lose a big game like Tennessee really sucks. Carr hads got to do something about Navarre. He had 3 interceptions and 2 fumbles (one for a loss)in one of the biggest games of the year, Ohio st. what has happened to the quarterback tradition. Michigan does not even have a good backup!!!!! Hopefully Carr will learn not to recruit a small secondary again and pathetic quarterbacks. There is one good thing though, the recruiting class this year has started off strong. Matt Gutierez is supposed to be a star quarterback. He was ranked 8th best in the country,coming from a 31-0 record as his former high school. He should start maybe next year. Check out Michigan's recruting at www.wolverineinsider.com. It's a good one for updates.! Carr told Matt to be ready to play next year. Also, watch out for last years recruit Kelly Baraka. He has the speed and size to be the next Wheatley!!!!!!!

Comments: What a frustrating 3 hours + to watch UM get literally taken apart by UT! UM was totally outclassed/outplayed/outschooled! I have been a UM fan since the early 70's and this ranks as one of the worst defeats I have seen in years. Do they realize they were playing in a major bowl game with a major powerhouse in UT? Do you think Lloyd Carr would have learned to stop running the ball (CONSERVATIVE AS USUAL) into an all american line (Henderson & Overstreet) all day? Especially 2nd/3rd and long....you could have guessd it every time! It almost seemed like this was Carr's 1st year of coaching. Also, what a dissapointment Navarre was throughout the year. Early on he looked promising but DIED in the last 3-4 games! It's tough to score and make the offense look good when you have 1 STAR (WALKER)! Also, the secondary was suspect all year! To play the big boys...you gotta keep it real Lloyd! Hope you learned something from this devastating defeat! W 8- L 4 Not so ! hot!

Comments: Being a transplanted Wolverine fan, living close to Buckeyes, attended the game and you would have thought the Bucks had won the National Championship. I guess it is such a rare thing for these guys to beat Michigan, they dont know how to handle it. The Ohio State program is one of the most underachieving football teams in the country in the last 15 years, and let's start another winning streak next year. And I predict that the Bucks will be thrashed in the Bowl Game, but that is a yearly thing now. They are so obsessed with the Michigan game that they have sunk into mediocrity, as there records over the last few years indicate. So let them have their celebration, as in 1998, and the other 2 games in the last 14 they have won, but they shouldn't ignore the big picture.

Comments: I am a huge fan of the Michigan Wolverines! I had my golf cart painted Michigan blue and the Michigan decals put on. I have a Michigan golf bag and all my golfing equipment is Michigan. For example: putter, towel, head covers, I could go on but I know you get the point. If I make a special trip out there I was wondering if I could get some free football tickets.
